With a PhD in International Relations and Latin American Studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Maria Cristina has extensive teaching and research experience in the fields of security, development, disarmament and political economy. She is currently a full time professor and researcher at the Center for International Relations Studies of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at UNAM. She has also taught for almost three decades at the Centro de Estudios Superiores Navales of the Secretaría de Marina - Armada de México. She is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI). She has been a visiting professor and researcher in some twenty countries around the world. Author of about a hundred books specialized in security and political economy.
General Secretary
Bachelors degree in International Relations from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences (FCPyS) of the UNAM. Diploma in Intelligence Services and National Security, UNAM. During 2006-2007 he worked as a research assistant at the Permanent Seminar on International Law of the FCPyS, UNAM. He carried out professional practices in the Commission of Foreign Relations, North America of the Senate of the Republic, and later joined it as a parliamentary advisor, where he collaborated until February 2009. Assistant professor at the FCPyS, UNAM in the subjects Sovereignty, Democracy and National Security, Disarmament, and Current Relations of Mexico with the United States and Canada. Director of political and risk analysis at ANSLEY International Consultors.
Finance director
Graduate in International Relations, Master in Studies in International Relations and Doctor in Political and Social Sciences from UNAM. He has participated in the research projects PAPIIT: The national security of Mexico in the face of the international security agenda post September 11, 2001 and PAPIME: The security-development binomial: the pending agenda in International Relations of the 21st century. He has also been research assistant at the Center for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament (CIPOD), of the School of International Studies (SIS) at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India. Likewise, he has collaborated with various academic institutions in different courses and seminars. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at UNAM's University Program in Asian and African Studies (PUEAA) as well as a subject professor at UNAM's FCPyS, in the course about India.
Director of Diffusion
Graduated from the International Relations degree from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNAM. Her lines of research include Mexico-United States relations, immigration policy in North America, security, American political thought, private security, and citizen security.
